Written Directions

My favorite direction is south to north. It begins off Rt.550 at Sharpsburg, OH and runs north through the little community of Chesterhill an ends at OH78 just outside McConnelsville, OH. This route can be connected to many of the other roads in the area to complete a loop. Don't miss the Triple Nickel Diner in Chesterhill. Great homemade food. There is a small gas station at Chesterhill however plenty of fuel locations south and north of this route.

Scenery

This route runs a ridge line for miles so the views are spectacular especially in the fall.

Drive Enjoyment

Lots of sweepers and a few sharper curves with ups and downs along the ridge. One of my favorite roads in this area. Was just repaved a couple years ago so still in great shape.

Tourism Opportunities

As noted, it's a short route however has one small gas station / convenience store and the Triple Nickel Diner in Chesterhill.

Motorcycle Road Additional info

Note; At Chesterhill route 555 (The Triple Nickel) intersection with 377. The northern portion of 377 between Chesterhill and Rt.78 near McConnelsville is the best part of this route. Use it with other roads to make an awesome ride.

Fun road, as is so many of the roads in this area. Rolling hillls, farmland, hardly any traffic. Passes thru a couple small villages. Still have not ate at Triple Nickel Diner... maybe this year. Pavement was good last time we were on it which was Sep/2019.

*Activate Ohio Road Ranger Mode* ROAD CONDITION as of 01/21 - Road is in average, give or take, condition as of 01/21. This is, indeed, a fun road. Lots of ups and down, lots of back and forth. It parallels 555, so there's some more fun in the neighborhood. Mind the rutted roads in Chesterhill, as of 01/21. Other than that, it's a good, solid haul. Be sure to check out the video of it that I have up, and there's plenty more where that came from on my YouTube channel.
