Written Directions

Just off I-75 at exit 11 is State Route 92 in Williamsburg, Ky. Take 92 east and you will come out on US Hwy 25E just north of Pineville Kentucky.

Scenery

Open vistas of farm houses and barns setting along side meandering brooks. Also canopy covered portions for that far away feeling. This route takes place in the beautiful foothills of Daniel Boone country in southeastern Kentucky just north of Tennessee.

Drive Enjoyment

This was not fresh asphalt but was in good condition making for a solid ride. Overall this road is a good fun road with a combination of sweepers and curves many times opening up to nice vistas and at other times canopy covered road. Not a real challenge but very enjoyable.

Tourism Opportunities

All your restaurant and gas station needs can be met in Williamsburg, KY on the west end and Pineville on the east end. And if you continue down 25E you can ride into Middlesboro.

Rode it on Memorial Day Weekend 2010. Good ride over all. Weather was dry and hot. Road surfaces were good and traffic was light. Used it as part of an attempted circumference ride of the Bluegrass State. Rode from East to West. Almost missed the turn onto 92 coming out of Pineville.

You should ride from Williamsburg to Lake cumberland along 92 a very beautiful and curvy road. It crosses Big South Fork, goes by the train museum in Stearns then goes all the way right into Lake Cumberland at Beavercreek Resort outside Monticello Ky. Then on the way back go up 90 to Burnside then south on 27 to 90 EAST to go by the Cumberland Falls another curvy road with a lot of beautuful scenery and plenty of places to pull off and take a break.

Very pretty ride. Actually I think it's a nice ride if you take 92 west to Monticello near Cumberland lake then up 27 and back down the falls road to 25. Great loop if your a rider at the college or in Williamsburg.
