Written Directions

Route starts just NE of Gainesboro TN. Take hwy 53 north out of Gainesboro for a mile or two. Turn left on hwy 135/85 for about 4 miles. Turn left again to stay on Old Tennessee 85. The road is fairly twisty with lots of hills and turns. It is closed to large truckers! It snakes over a ridge and then down into a beautiful little valley. No real turnouts or overlooks. The road itself is the main attraction for me.

Scenery

All rural road with a sparse number of houses and farms. It runs up and over a ridge, then down into a beautiful little valley. There are no overlooks or view points.

Drive Enjoyment

Really good road surface, but not perfect.The road is really curvy. Some are quite tight. We saw only two other cars on the road when we were on it around 7:00pm.
