Scenery
This route provides a beautiful Nebraska sandhills riding experience; especially early morning or early evening when the shadows accentuate the terrain. Stop off at Victora Springs Recreational Area and New Helena for a dose of local history. Scenery includes cedar covered hill sides and numerous sandhill canyons. The roads are in great shape and lend to the enjoyment of the many sweeping curves. It's the best central Nebraska ride I've experienced.
Drive Enjoyment
The roads are in great shape and lend to the enjoyment of numerous sweeping curves and hilly terrain. In early morning or evening, the temperature changes through the low areas are an unexpected bonus. It's the best central Nebraska ride I've experienced.
Tourism Opportunities
New Helena and Victoria Springs Recreation Area are examples of the local history. In the early years, the locals bottled and sold the "medicinal" mineral water nationwide. Now the Recreation area is a quiet camping, fishing and picnicing area. Several walking trails connect and cross the park area.
