Written Directions
From the I-55/MO-51 Perryville interchange, head south on MO-51 for approximately 34 miles to Lutesville. Turn right onto Conrad Ave/W Main St. for 0.5 miles. Turn left onto 1st St. for 0.2 miles, then turn right onto Lutes St. Continue south for 9.6 miles, then turn right to continue on MO-51. Continue south for 12.1 miles to the intersection with Hwy P/Hwy C in the community of Arab. (MO-51 continues south to US 60 and beyond.)
Scenery
The route travels through the eastern edge of the Missouri Ozarks, over rolling hills, past a mix of open farm fields and dense woodlands. The route offers the occasional panoramic view from the tops of ridges.
Drive Enjoyment
The route is a nice mix of easy curvy and straight sections, with almost constant mild elevation changes, making for a good cruising road. The road surface is well maintained rolled asphalt.
Tourism Opportunities
Perryville has a number of restaurants and shops, and is home to the Missouri National Veterans Memorial, which has a full size replica of the Vietnam War Memorial. Lutesville also has a number of restaurants and shops. The route travels past the Sank Conservation Area.
