Written Directions

Starting in Farmington, MO at the intersection of Karasch Blvd and Sainte Genevieve Ave (MO-32 and Hwy OO). Proceed south on Hwy OO (Karasch Blvd) for 16.8 miles to the intersection with MO-72 in Junction City (Fredericktown).

Scenery

The route goes through gently rolling hills with not a lot of elevation changes, past farm fields and yards with occasional stretches of tree lined road.

Drive Enjoyment

The route is mostly straight with easy flowing curves, making for a nice cruising ride. The road surface is well maintained rolled asphalt.

Tourism Opportunities

Both of the cities at either end of the route have a number of well known restaurants and many shopping opportunities. Just NW of Farmington is St. Joe State Park. Both Farmington and Fredericktown have a number of locations on the National Register of Historic Places. Approximately 3 miles north of Fredericktown is the Three Notch Road Park, site of the first lead mine in the Mississippi Valley, and the western end of the oldest road in Missouri (the other end is in Ste. Genevieve on the Mississippi River).

Motorcycle Road Additional info

This route is a well known alternative to US 67 between Farmington and Fredericktown, with slower speeds and much less traffic.
