Written Directions

Start in Frederick on route 40 head up old 40 towards hagerstown make a right turn on harmony Rd follow it til stop sign take a hard right onto switchback follow this road til the stop sign by harnes store in wolfsville. Go straight follow until next stop sign make left onto 77 then stop light make a left onto 66 follow it until the intersection by the AC&t has station make a left onto 64 follow it all the way until you hit boonsboro at that light left turn onto main St. Go straight through the circle and follow 40 alt all the way through Middletown back to 40 in Frederick.

Scenery

Lots of curvy roads through farms and along a creek valleys and farms. With good tree cover along the route there are lots of shade to be had on a hot day.

Drive Enjoyment

Nice clean pavement for the most part some tar snake patches here and there. Lots of decent curves along the way.

Tourism Opportunities

Harnes store in wolfsville is a great stop for a snack or quick bite. Real old school. Plenty of convince stores along the way with gas. Boonsboro is an older style town with food and sights. South mountain has the Washington monument park. Middletown has a great little shops and an ice cream shop. Frederick has all sorts of food and such
