We started from Bull Shoals lake and rode this route to Rt9 at Mountain View AR. You could jump on this road at any point and enjoy your trip. At Rt.9 we turned North and rode Rt9 to Mammoth Spring, which is definitely worth the stop and look.
Scenery
At times you will think you are on the Blue Ridge Parkway!!! Would be great in the fall. Small horse farms and cattle dot the landscape.
Drive Enjoyment
Roads are in good condition. Road surfaces change from county to county but all are smooth and and in condition to ride any style you prefer. Be aware that after a rain you must watch for gravel washing out of side roads and driveways onto the road surface.
Tourism Opportunities
Be sure and stop at the larger towns for gas and food. On this holiday weekend many small businesses were closed. Good food at the restaraunt at Rt.14 and 9 right on the White River.
A nice hiway to ride. It ain't the BRP but it's not bad. If you're looking for nice rides in the Ozarks, this is a dandy.

Fun ride with good pavement and pretty scenery. Sad to say, almost standard for the Ozarks. Get stuck behind a cage, and it is the pits. Clear road, and you can really push yourself.

I agree a good ride. Possibly a better one would be (at Big Flat) to continue on to Allison, then down to Mountain View. The section from the 263/66 intersection to Mountain View isn't the greatest.
