Leave Northport, AL on Hwy 69 North for 40 miles. Before you get to Oakman, AL turn west on AL/Hwy 18. Stay wesy on Hwy 18 for approx 15 miles through Berry, AL until you reach Hwy 43. Go south on Hwy 43 and back to Northport, AL.
The route is through the northern part of Tuscaloosa County and has some You get pasture land and wooded curvy roads.
Very good 2 lane roads with a few places to pass if you get behind somebody slow.
Northport has a lot of gas and food. Berry has 1 gas station and place to east.
The first part of this road is a pain until your out away from Tuscaloosa. After that 69 and 18 are a lot of fun. 18 has just been paved (actually was still being paved when I was there. 43 isn't all that interesting in comparison but overall I was glad to see this option. I'll try it again sometime, but I'll look for another option from 43.
