From there, continue on to McCormick, SC, a historic town with plenty of sights to see. From McCormick, follow 28 for about 6-1/2 miles and veer left onto state road 81 towards Calhoun Falls. Otherwise, continue up 81 towards Iva and Starr. Enjoy the ride. Wrap it up coming into Anderson, SC. From there the big roads, I-85, are clearly marked. You can stop and see the sights or just enjoy the ride.

Very straight and flat. Road itself wasn't in bad condition. Not bad if its a means to get from point A to B and your not looking for the shortest route.

Not a bad ride. Road was a bit worn the more you rode north but good ride overall.

I started at Augusta, and had to come back so I rode this route up as far Anderson where I stopped for coffee on the main street, then doubled-back, but headed south through Abbeville, crossed the river again on the 378 McCormick/Lincolnton road, and continued back to Augusta along the 47/104 having done a 'figure-8'. Really nice afternoon ride covering just under 200 miles with a coffee and Danish stop in the middle.
