Written Directions
Start in the beautiful Bavarian-styled town of Leavenworth, WA. There are several places to meet to begin the ride, but the McDonalds across the street has bathrooms and hot coffee.
Start on US-2 and turn left onto Chumstick Hwy for 14.0 mi. You will parallel the BNSF/Amtrak railroad for several miles. When you go under the overpass, things will start to get excessively curvy! Feel free to turn around on either end of the twisties and ride them in opposite directions a few times...but watch out for locals and tourists who might not be paying attention!
You will arrive in the small community of Plain, which has limited services available. At Beaver Valley Rd, turn left for 4.9 mi.
When you come to WA-207, you can turn right to visit Lake Wenatchee Village, which is a small resort/store that also has gasoline, and Lake Wenatchee Park for a brief respite. Otherwise, turn left for the 3.8 mi to return to Hwy 2 and Coles Corner.
