Harriman is full of good roads. This is one of the main roads and thus has more traffic. It is still enjoyable and one of the few roads open in the winter months as well. Try some of the off-shoot roads like Arden Valley Road if you want something even more fun.

Perkins Memorial Drive to scenic Bear Mountain is accessed via northeastern's Seven Lakes Parkway, is a must do option. The 3-mile Drive has several roadside viewpoints on the way to the 1,284' summit. The eastern face of the mountain overlooks the Hudson River and Bear Mountain Bridge. To the south, from the historical 40' tall-stone-lookout at the summit, wintering bald-eagles at nearby Iona Island and New York City's skyline 20-miles away, can be seen on a clear day.
