Written DirectionsOn county Hiway J, about 6-1/2 miles west of ES (the Elegant farmer), turn north on Nature Rd/Bluff Rd. About 1/2 mile north, Bluff Rd splits off to the left (west) and runs all the way to Whitewater. The road runs through scenic area with a number of gentle curves an a few sharp twisties. The only village that it passes through is Little Prairie (no amenities), where it crosses SR67. In Little Prairie, you will pass a cemetery where a Revolutionary War veteran is buried. The road runs through the southern portion of the Kettle Moraine. For an extra bit of scenery, take Tamarack Road up to Palmyra where there are a number of restaurants and watering holes for the hungry and thirsty rider. At county Hiway H, jog to the right about 1/8 mile and then to the left again on Bluff rod where it continues. If approaching this road from the Whitewater (west) end, it can be a little difficult to find. From the US 12 bypass, take old 59 north and almost immediately turn right on Cox, the immediately turn left on Howard. Bluff road will be at the next stop sign.
SceneryThis route crosses through the southern portion of the Kettle Moraine which is deeply wooded. The last several miles as you approach Whitewater are fairly flat, and pass through farms, but still offer fair scenery and sweeping curves.
Drive EnjoymentRoad quality is good, there are some noticeable expansion joints as you approach Whitewater. On the sharper curves, watch for gravel washouts after hard rains.
Tourism OpportunitiesThis is a back road, there are no amenities directly on the road itself. Whitewater and Palmyra both offer a number of restaurants. Whitewater is a college town, and the fast food is all on the west end of town near the campus. Bluff Rd is on the east end of town.
