Written Directions

Not too hard to find. Just south of Zanesville, OH is the very small town of Brush Creek, OH. Just get yourself to Brush Creek and head south on route 555 for about 30 miles till you get to the end point of Chesterhill, OH.

Scenery

Beautiful isolated farms with rolling hills. You'll be driving next to and through some of the Wayne National Forest.

Drive Enjoyment

Lots of very challenging twisties. Roads line the crests of rolling hills ... an amusement park for sport and sport touring bikes. NOT a novice road. One should attempt this road with extreme concentration. Road conditions are fast with little traffic.

Tourism Opportunities

Isolated. You're there for one thing - to ride.

Just completed this route 555 yesterday June/2016. Nice route. Roads were in decent condition but there were some spots with loose gravel that you need to aware of in the turns. I stayed in mostly 2nd gear the first time through, but on the way back, I was able to get up to 3rd gear several times because I had a feel for the road and what to expect. There some hills that when you get to the top you have no idea what awaits you on the other side that you have to be aware of. I also noticed a few Amish horse and buggy's and horse dung in the middle of the road that you have to be aware of. The first time through, I pulled over and took pictures of certain parts of the road, but there aren't many places that you can pull off to do this safely. Mainly a good road to get out on and cruise on. I purposely went early am hours around 10 am to get through it before it got crowded with other bikers and cars. It made the difference! This was my first time riding a twisty route made for bikers, so I was a little nervous at first, but after going through and knowing what to expect, it made a big difference. My gps struggled to get reception while navigating through the route and towards the end, so I had to stop and ask the locals where to find some petrol. Everyone is friendly and will wave bikers around them when it's safe to pass.

Wow. I've been riding for 35 years in Ohio and I have never ridden this route until this past weekend. My brother-in-laws and I rode it and had a great time. We rode from South Zanesville to Bartlett till we had to head home to Columbus. I wish we had the time to ride to the river. I would encourage anyone who rides in Ohio or any surrounding states to take a ride on the "Triple Nickel", you won't be sorry.
