Scenery

Forests, farms, and a honking big Reservoir. Lovely tiny town centers, and some of the best farmland to be seen near Boston.

Drive Enjoyment

Clinton's streets are not great, but the town center is a nice stop to stretch. Otherwise road quality is good, with mostly one lane roads, and little traffic.

Tourism Opportunities

- Harvard Center is a postcard.

- Stop at Bolton Orchards, at the intersection of 117, and 110S. Lot's of goodies to eat.

According to the local weekly newspaper there will be throughout the summer a checkpoint set up at the intersection of Rt 140 & Rt 62 in Sterling. They will be checking for LOUD pipes and of course DWI. There will be DMV, local, and State police doing the checking. The reason being given is that the residents along these roads have been complaining about the excessive noise, which I can concur as I live in the area and hsve to agree with most of them.

Both my wife and I ride 1983 R80RT Beemers. In Sterling on RT140 there is the 140 Rendezvous Pub. They have great burgers and weather permitting a rib and chick BBQ on Wednesday eveing and on Sunday afternoon. They also have entertainment on Sundays 4:00 - 8:00, country/rock. For those might want to ride up Mt. Wachusett be aware that the road is now closed for the summer until Oct 2009 due toroad construction.
