The road starts in Aldie, VA at route 50 and ends in Bluemont, VA near route 7. Route 9 is also near the end of this route as well.
Scenery
This is a nice short ride for beginners and experienced riders alike. This pike take the rider through some rolling hills and beautiful farmland.
Drive Enjoyment
The road is relatively straight with a few sweeping turns which makes this a good beginners road.
Tourism Opportunities
I'm ranking this as "great" because of its immediate vicinity to the Middleburg rides. There are also a few general stores to stop at along the way and a great little store in Bluemont. The Blueridge Mountain Road ride is very close to the Bluemont side of this ride. There are also a few small wineries near Bluemont and Aldie as well.
I went on this road with another rider based on these great reviews. As of 3-21-15, the road is littered in potholes...Worse than DC. At points, I was going 5mph weaving around some of the craters. The road needs serious repair, but the scenery is still great when everything blooms.

I like this road when in the area but one of te reasons I take this road is for the one switchback at the end of this road. I would never take the turn onto Clayton Hall Rd. Another 1/4 mile ahead is said switchback. Be ready, it's a sharp one.

Snickersville Turnpike is hands down one of the best local roads in Northern Virginia. Great scenery and it's easy enough to work in after a day at work. Easy to work in St. Louis Road and other nice roads. This ride is a must.
