AR 220 from Devil's Den State Park to Cedarville - By Sharum

This is a hidden treasure. Once you turn off of HWY 59 north of Cedarville this road is wonderful... There are ups and downs, twisties, and nice sweepers. There is about 25 miles of to-yourself fun... I've been on it about 4 times and I've seen about 10 cars total.. there is a downside tho... there are a couple places where the road has washed out and a so-so temporary repair was attempted. The repair is Dirt and gravel... one place it's about 10 feet long, another it was 50 feet or so. just slow down and take it easy .... . the solitude and scenery are worth the hassle of the road repairs. this takes you right into Devil's Den State park... This is a nice place to use the facilities and maybe get a soda... if you continue on to Winslow AR, you will cross i-49 then on to Hwy 71, this stretch of road is beautiful with nice sweepers. At Hwy 71 head south (right) up the hill for about 4-5 miles... Grandmas' Diner. (little white house converted to a restaurant.) Homemade Pies... wow, this is a must...
