Between Sault Ste. Marie and Wawa you travel along the north coast of North America's largest lake - Lake Superior. A beautiful, scenic ride. Highway 129 between Wawa and Thessalon is one of the most isolated highways in Ontario. This ride is remote and lightly travelled. It winds through forest after forest. The highway crosses some of the most remote and rugged terrain in the province. There is access to several remote settlements, however the only community of any size along highway 129 is Chapleau.
