Written Directions

Head east on US 64 from Taos to Angel Fire NM. When you get to Angel Fire, turn right on Route 434 (head south). Continue south and you'll pass near Black Lake on the right and end up at the end point in Mora, NM.

Scenery

Rivers, mountains, fields, just a beautiful ride. Taos Canyon has plenty of twisties but a fair amount of traffic.

Drive Enjoyment

I haven't ridden this in awhile and can't comment on the road condition. But as far as the turns go, it has a lot of twists and turns ... nothing too sharp, but enough to keep you focussed.

Tourism Opportunities

No amenities outside of Taos, Angel Fire or Mora.

Rode Mora to Angle fire. Very rugged and twisty road narrows to about 1 1/2 lanes. The ride is beautiful

Great scenery and elevation changes There are areas with a good amount of corners from tight to moderate all enjoyable both as a one up or two up. Well worth the ride. Some traffic since Angel Fire is a ski tourist town. Great way to get from Albuquerque to Durango Co to continue your mountain rides in the San Juan Mountains of southern CO

I've rode 434 a couple of times and it's absolutely amazing scenery and no need to get in a hurry.. Nice little ma and pa café in Mora with great food and friendly locals... The portion from Angel Fire into Taos US64 is a nice road and have ridden it many times but is usually well traveled as in lots of traffic..
