If you make a left onto 220 you can pick up 39 west again. If you continue on 39 west it will eventually intersect route 219. Take a left on 219 (south) and that will deliver you to the New River Gorge Bridge. You can ride down to the river and check out this beautiful bridge from below. I'd suggest taking bathing suits and getting a place to stay nearby instead of riding back to Virginia.

Great Ride, my friend riding with me and I were saying the same thing, "Wow!!! Check that out!!!" Stopped many times for photo ops.

Only rode the part in WV, our friends didn't want to go into VA, will have to do the VA part another time. The WV end was a very nice ride, surface was pretty good, twisty with lots of shade, nice scenery.
