Great ride! I just found this website & found some great rides for this summer. The only thing to watch for on this one is North of W Farmington their is a lot of horse manure on the road. Other than that it is great. Go in the Summer months because the strip in Geneva is dead from may-sep.

Stop in Mesapotamia at the store at the end of the commons. Very interesting! Sept 8-22 is Thunder on the Strip in Geneva on the Lake. Nice "local" rally!

Great Ride and awesome views, but the road is starting to turn bad up in the Mesopatomia area. Be careful of payment groves parallel to the lanes. Dont get your tire stuck in them!! Downtown mesopatomia is a great place to stop and stretch at the cirlce. Cool picture of the wooden horse and buggy made out of old wood from the general store. All in all, great one day trip!

I started from Akron. The ride up 534 is fantastic, nice road, and beautiful scenery. Overall a great one day ride.

I have been on this route many times. As a rule the roads are good, except for the occasional repairs, ths is Ohio.

I live in Geneva, and have traveled most of this route as part of life. Everything here is right good, if you are looking for a nice place to stay close to GOTL take I 90 East from 534 just before Geneva, and go to the next exit, Austinburg SR 45. There are 3 good hotels, (sleep in, hampton inn, comfort in).

Nice ride up from the Twinsburg area. Traveled out from Twinsburg on route 82 and picked up 534 N. Nice, quite ride. Be on the lookout for horse and buggy. pretty straight riding with not many turns but it's ideal for a relaxing bike ride. Great ice cream stop in Mesopatomia

It was a beautiful day and caught 534 from SR5. Just very pleasant vast majority of the ride. Some serious grooves in the concrete road around Amish country but nothing major just surprising since the ride was so pleasant and uneventful. Was pretty amazing to see the vast patch of blue on the GPS when Lake Erie came into range. Be on your toes for horse drawn buggies.

Left from Ravenna, Sunday, Labor Day weekend. Very nice road for most of the way, a few mile section has been ground for new blacktop...not bad though a lot of fresh paving along the way. Plan at least an afternoon to walk the main drag and see the sights.

I'm lucky enough to live relatively close to this route. It's a great ride for novice riders with lots of beautiful scenery.

A Great Ride We did it on 90+ degree day and We hit Some of the Wineries along the way. However a lot of bad road conditions about half way there then we came back after dark to beat the heat and enjoy the cool air Ride

As mentioned before this route has few curves in it and if that's OK with you the scenery is what you get. Amish and Mennonite farms North of 88 create some interesting smells and there are road apples to dodge. Mostly flat and the day I rode it the wind was gusting up to about 25 MPH and blowing me around a bit, and my bike weighs over 900 lbs. Geneva on the Lake businesses were closed due to COVID-19 but the snail pace , 10 to 15 MPH, traffic for a few miles was aggravating. I won't be riding this one again.

Wife and I did this route Saturday morning 2-up. There's also two covered bridges right off route 534 that are worth checking out. Windsor Mills covered bridge is on Township Road 257 near the intersection of route 322 and 534 (Google it), and the Harpersfield Covered Bridge is visible from route 534, on Harpersfield Road near the intersection of 534 and OH-307 (Google it). There's a few curves but not many, but the pavement was in good shape and Geneva-on-the-lake has lots of little places to get a bite to eat. Overall a nice morning ride, and I'd recommend it if you live in the area. I did see what "Guest" meant on his review on September 7, 2013 about "You f#$%^&# come to the country and ruin the quiet" LoL. There were a few bikes on the road with their loud pipes saving lives or whatever they think they're doing - disrupting the quiet. Otherwise it's a nice pleasant ride.

Nice ride. Geneva on the Lake is very bike friendly. Some of the back roads that lead to some of the covered bridges are pea gravel, so take it slow if you are venturing off to see some of those. This is also Amish Country, so take it easy passing any horse and buggies, the Amish were friendly.

Lots of straight but peaceful riding through farmland. Geneva on the Lake has some nice bars and restaurants to enjoy.
