Great ride. Most ~50 mph. Stop for breakfast in Frenchtown. There's "motorcycle only" parking. Continue over the bridge into PA and head either north or south on 32.

Great ride! If you do it on a Sunday, a neat destination nearby is Van Sant Airport across the river in Erwinna, PA. It's a neat grass airstrip where they pull up sailplanes and fly neat old stuff. Lots of folks show up in classic bikes, cars, and trucks.

New Jersey has an unbelievable amount of historic farmland and colonial towns; this route takes you through just a handful of those places. I altered the route to a loop for those who live locally (near Peapack/Gladstone/Chester, Somerville, etc.) and you can see the exact route here: https://www.geodistance.com/?id=0
In addition to the great roads, on this altered route you'll ride alongside a couple of rivers and streams on narrow empty backroads, see countless colonial farmhouses and historic buildings, pass under a beautiful large stone arch, and end up right back in Chester where you started.
What a great ride!

This is a solid and fun ride. To get there from any point east (Millburn., Springfield, etc.) take the 78 to Clinton and go north or south, (avoid 24/510 via Morristown at all cost, traffic is bad there and signage truly awful--if your sense of direction is as bad as mine, you will find yourself in some really weird neighborhoods in Mo-town). Once you're on the 513, it's just a blast, lots of twisties, scenery great, road in good condition. In a slight variation of the route from Chester to Frenchtown described above, I took the 615 south from Pittstown, which has even less traffic. From 615 take a right on Route 12 and hook back into 513. Loved it.

Fun ride. Little traffic, decent twisties, and some nice hilly straights. Limited amount of turns makes navigation easy to follow. NOTE: Current construction on Highbridge Califon Road near Califon causes detour on less than great side roads. Google maps is aware and will show detour if pre-routing. (May 2020)
