Motorcycle Type : Sport

Best scenic route I have seen so far, in MA. I can only attest to the roads in Cape Ann (1A, and everything east, including 127 and 133). Some relaxed curves, really great scenery of farms and tall trees. The towns have a historic feel to them (Wenham). Ipswich has a nice beach. The state park at Halibut point has a gorgeous view of the surrounding ocean. Rockport has a touristy area, with lots of shops and lobster. I really, really enjoyed this area, and have gone back many times.

When leaving Salem you can also stay right after going over the Beverly Salem Bridge onto Cabot street and pick up Rt 127 where it begins in Beverly. This will reverse the route.

I travel this all the time one of the prettiest rides and does not take a lot of time to do. Some points of interest along the way Salem Willows is just off the route and the Crows Nest in down town Gloucester Fort Stage Park places to eat are all along the route. I enjoy this ride all the time

A number of scenic areas off the route to ride to and stop at. Examples: -Crane Hill Estate -Halibut State Park -Parker River Reservation (short gravel trails for adv bikes in this area)

I live near this route so when I have limited time on my hands this is the route I take most often. Nice ride through some quiet towns and mostly little traffic so a great, relaxing evening ride.
