This is a great ride for Indiana. If I do it again I would get on 62 at Corydon go over to 66 take it to Tell City and turn around and go back. This is the best part of this loop unless you are headed to Patoka or French Lick.

I have lived about 30 minutes from IN-66 for the last 15 years and have never ridden it. My loss. I rode it last Saturday and I was grinning ear to ear. This is the best road that I have ever been on for curves and scenery. I'm going to Dragon's Tail next month and will have something to compare it to. Highly recommend the route.

Actually it is Cannelton Locks and Dam you see on this route. Stop in and say Hi. Great ride spring, summer or fall. Laid back usually very peaceful ride. I run the Locks and Dam at Cannelton, stop in and say Hi, we are motorcycle friendly as well as anyone that stops by.

There's a primitve, secluded NF campground at Buzzard's Roost, on the bluff just north of Magnet (there's signs). Only 6 sites, usually not crowded, great view of another horseshoe bend, hiking trail to river's edge.

An excellent road. Road condition is good. Plenty of turns and sweepers to keep you interested in the road. Scenic southern Indiana and Ohio river history.

This is a wonderful ride. You can ride it easy & enjoy the scenery or you can ride it at speed, and get a rush as you test your skill.

I try to ride this route at least twice a year, spring when the buds are just getting on the trees, and in the fall. Beautiful when the leaves are just starting to turn. It can get hot during the middle of summer, but the overhanging trees over the road help make some shade.

A great ride in my opinion. Also, lots of other route options in that area for longer or shorter loops. Like using 145 to 62 near Uniontown in place of the long, straight 37.

I was on it yesterday (6/7/20). Be really careful on the 15 mile section south of Derby. The shoulders were dressed with fresh gravel and cars have kicked some of it onto the asphalt in the corners! Excellent asphalt, curves, elevation changes and scenery!! We came in from Evansville and left the loop at Derby on Route 70. Not sure of issues north of Derby.

Great ride! I live in Corydon, so this is a regular ride for me. Love the scenery on this one.
