I just rode this road last weekend extending it all the way through Elizabeth and Scales Mound to New Diggins, WI. Perfect views, great pavement and almost no car traffic. Highly recommended!

Start in Warren Il., Head west on Stage Coach, turn south on Scalesmound/ Eliz. Take 20 east to Scenic Ridge road. 2 miles north of Savanna, take Zion Road n/e to Mt Carroll/ Eliz Road, At hwy 78 go straight to Loran Road, turn north thru Loran. At hwy 73, turn north to Lena. Take Stagecoach west to Warren. 100 miles of fun....... Many variations of this route.

And here I was thinking I was the only one who knew about this gem.

This is a roller coaster from beginning to end and just enough turns to make it great.

No amenities as it is the middle of nowhere, but that just accounts for the lack of cagers in your way

Holy crap is this s great ride. Just do it. You"ll likely turn around and do it again in reverse.

This is a great ride. I have added to my route when ever I go west to the Savana or Galena area. I make the left part way and follow South to Savana. Left and Left brings you in at the North end of town Just North of the Iron Horse Social club. If you take 64/52 into Savana this is a must detour!
