Motorcycle Type : Cruiser

This road can be dangerous for motorcycles during tomato and garlic season. Be careful or you can become a hood ornament on a Peterbilt. I would recommend turning right onto Hwy 25 and going into Holister instead of going to San Lucas (BORING).

A great ride, particularly in Spring or Fall. I agree with the Hwy 25 diversion to Hollister. Or starting in Hollister and ending in Coalinga. If you pass through town and over to I-5, you can get a great steak at Harris Ranch.

The initial post had zero stars for scenery, but the description was accurate. I'd rate it a "4". Be aware, it's not unusual for a CHP cruiser to park within sight of the junction with Hwy 25. I find the riding both sides of the junction with 25 to be enjoyable, it's just much further to Coalinga. Also, going south from the junction with Hwy 25 puts you on Peachtree Road, a fun, if occasionally goaty, mostly single lane road. Connect with Indian Valley, and you will come out by San Miguel.
