Doorstep to Sequoia National Park - SR-245 - By Oso

LOTS of twisties! This road demands your attention while you ride it, but is such a pleasure to ride. Most curves are well banked, but you also need to be careful of some that fall away from you - thankfully only a couple of those exist. A stop at the Mountain House tavern is a must and you get the chance to soak in the scenery on clear days out on their deck. When you reach highway 180, a left turn and about 15 miles more will bring you to a place to fill up -- then turn around and run the route in reverse - you will be surprised how each direction makes for a unique ride! Enjoy, and go later in the season so you avoid sand and ice in some of the heavily shaded areas in early riding season.
