Written Directions
Start at the east end of Going to the Sun in Glacier National Park. At the St. Mary's Lodge, take a right on Rt 89. Follow it to Browning, MT. It's that simple
Scenery
This route is suggested as a continuation of the world famous - "Going to the Sun" road in Glacier National Park. As you leave, you'll have the mountains of Glacier to your right and the rolling plains on Montana to the left. The road rises and falls, and every turn gives you a different view of both. If you do later in the afternoon, the sun setting on the fields turns them bright gold. I'd recommend riding it both ways, because the views really are different.
Drive Enjoyment
It's a mix of everything. Honestly, it might be the best road I've ridden. While it's not the most technical (let's be honest...after Laguna Seca, nothing else compares on that scale), it has everything. There are fast straights followed by 15 mph hairpins and 25-45 mph sweepers and chicanes. Plenty of elevation change.
You won't rest on this route.
Tourism Opportunities
There really isn't much. Browning is pretty desolate, and the lodge was closed when we were there.
Your best bet for a meal is to ride back to the start and head north toward Many Glacier. There's a cool supper club at the turn into the park.

I also did this in a 2015 VW GTI and had as much fun.
