Written Directions

476(centralia) at US 19 north of Weeki Wachee, and South of Homasassa, proceed East on 476 to Lake Lindsey Road(same road, name change), crosses 41, to Bushnell. Continues past Bushnell, but changes scenery from gentle curve tree encased to open farmland and strightens out.

Scenery

A nice tree lined road with gentle curves, light traffic, well marked and in great condition, crosses the Withlacoochee River, where there is a new restaurant on the river(called Ratz Ass)bike friendly. Less curvy once past I-75, but still a nice ride to Bushnell.

Drive Enjoyment

good quality, no pot holes, plenty of gentle curves, light traffic.

Tourism Opportunities

Few stopping places. A couple of restaurants at the Withlacoochee River, a county park just past 41.

A nice short run between Tampa and Crystal River, diverse scenery for this part of the state.

Did this run a couple weeks ago and it is my favorite. Been through the Green Swamp and around it which is a blast, but this run has it all. Beautiful tree covered roads, no traffic, nice curves, and some nice Old Florida country. If you want to eat on this one pack some samiches, this is out in the country, not much in the way of gas or food. I think the best way to describe this ride is a walk in the woods on two wheels. I ran this from east to west. in early March 2015 with a fine Cigar. Hope to see you there when I run it again. Ride safe.
