Written Directions
From Marshall, AR (on US highway-65), turn onto Highway-27 north and go for about one mile, where you'll turn right onto Highway-74 east (this is where the ride really begins). Just follow this for about 20 miles, where it'll intersect Highway-66 about a mile west of Alco, AR (end of ride). There is good riding past this point, but the Highway-74 section is the highlight.
Scenery
About halfway through the ride, the highway enters a valley where it follows Big Creek, crossing it about four times. The scenery is first rate with mountains hiding a few rugged farms. I call this Hidden Valley because it's off the beaten path, and very few riders know about it. Traffic is extremely light (you may encounter less than ten vehicles the entire ride).
Drive Enjoyment
The road is mainly twisties with a few sweepers thrown in. The road quality is excellent. The first few miles have been resurfaced recently, and the rest is in excellent shape.
Tourism Opportunities
If you want gas/food, get in it Marshall before you start, as there are no amenities anywhere on the route.
