-- The Big Deal here is to go to the view point on Hurricane Ridge. Riding up through the forest road to there is nice in that riding through forests is always pleasant. But it is unfortunately always crowded with tourists during the summer season. Then at the top, as you look south, you see the rise of mountains, the Olympic Mountains, but a lot of the constant green of all the trees as some parts of the Mountains on the western side get up to 12 FEET of rain per year. More variety would be nicer.

-- Just to add, there are hiking trails at the top and in other areas along Hwy. 101 where you can be in wonderful forest area and have no one around. Consider riding with hiking clothes so you're equipped for that. Also, there are so many streams, so different from most anywhere else. --

lots of curves, long humps, hope you don't get a slow driver in front of you. you know, those good law abiding citizens. this is a fun road. other, if your brave, can take the gravel path further up. its wide enough. although walk and save my paint. bring your discovery park pass.
