THE BRIDGE IS FIXED AND ROAD FULLY OPEN NOW! We road this loop as part of our Motorcycle Grand Tour of Texas which had a stop at the Frio Canyon Motorcycle Stop/Bent RIm Grill in Leakey. I agree this is not for a novice rider. It has some great scenery but also some long straight "plain" roads. The only real stops are in Leakey - rest are photo stop areas. I will agree with a previous reviewer, the road is rough. I was on a Goldwing and could feel the road roughness most of the ride. It is a Texas Farm To Market road but it does wear on you. One does have to concentrate with all the curves which adds to wear from the rough road. I believe an early spring or late fall would be better times to ride the area for better scenic views.
