Spectacular!!! That's the best way to describe this route. I lucked out that the first few years I rode motorcycle and rode to Sturgis, this area was usually on the way. There are many places to pull off and take photos of either nature or history. Be sure to check road conditions and weather. I've hit road construction that held up traffic quite a bit and have been forced to find shelter to escape weather. Anytime that this has happened, I was still able to make the most of it, whether to enjoy the mountain scenery or huddled under a shelter talking with other bikers.
