Cherohala Skyway - By Akumu

Great road, through and through. One of those roads where the harder you push, the more it rewards you, but you can also just cruise around at the speed limit and enjoy the sights, of which there are MANY. My only problem with the road is the problem I have with the Blue Ridge Parkway. It's wet up there...a lot. It's the elevation that does it, and while the Skyway is noticeable cooler on a dry summer day, compared to the lowlands, on a rainy day it is absolute frigid. I was freezing my ass off enough to not really even enjoy the road my last ride on it...in August! :(
