Written Directions

You can start in La Crosse, WI and head east or start in Reedsburg and head west. The key is to get on SR 33 and have a blast!

Scenery

On this road/route you'll see some of the most beautiful farms in Wisconsin. It will take you through Amish country and a short run in a state park that will remind you a little of Deals Gap.

Drive Enjoyment

Very smooth road with a few tar strips in some areas

Tourism Opportunities

You will travel through several small towns that have plenty of gas and places to grab a bite to eat.

I rode Highway 33 in it's entirety from Port Washington to La Crosse, and this stretch was really nice. I did this route on a Tuesday, and I practically had this road to myself. Also, it was 90 degrees that day, and this route is mostly in the shade, which made the ride more comfortable. Be sure to stop at the park to check out the overlook. Very nice.

Very entertaining ride and a little slice of rural Americana. I recommend this to anyone wanting a long, interesting ride.

One of my favorite rides. Great scenery and roads. We normally leave La Crosse around 6:30am and have the roads to ourselves
