Written Directions

The directions couldn't be much easier. Just start your route in Breezewood, PA and take US 30 (Lincoln Highway) all the way to Chambersburg, PA.

Scenery

I couldn't believe that US 30 wasn't on MotorcycleRoads.com. The views on this are amazing. The mountains and the look out points are fantastic!!! I little bit of history; this is the road that Lincoln took to Gettysburg. Its a good thing they didn't have motorcycles bake then or else he might have never given the Gettysburg Address, he would have kept riding this part over and over.

Drive Enjoyment

Nice amount of twist and turns up and downs. The road seems like its maintained well.

Tourism Opportunities

Gas up in Breezewood if you need it because there is very little till you get to Chambersburg. There is a biker bar on top of one of the high points (nice view from there ... I recommend a stop here).

That biker bar is Mountain House Bar & Grill (4 miles east of McConnellsburt jct of US-522) . South side of US-30 on a sharp hilly turn. Definitely a Great Place to stop.

I road frim D.C. And did a loop through Breezewood, PA across Hwy 30 to Chambersburg. Left home at 1100 on sunday July 3rd. Got back home about 1730. Ate lunch at the Mountain House Bar & Grill. The "Mountain Burger" w/fries, 2 drafts, and a sweet tea was a whopping $13.40. A great ride with a decent lunch. It was nice to get away from the city for a day. Not far from Gettysburg if you wanna combine the trips.
