Written Directions

Go east from Tahlequah on US 62 and follow it to Westville. Hooks up with the Refd Fern ride (https://www.motorcycleroads.com/admin/75/1016/Routes/Where-the-Red-Fern-Grows-Run.html) for a complete loop.

Scenery

Twisty road through eastern Okla Forest. One of the more scenic drives in the entire state of Okla.

Drive Enjoyment

The pavement is smooth and road is challenging. Good combination of hairpins curves to fast sweepers. Good sight lines through the curves. Among the best sport roads in Okla.

Tourism Opportunities

There is a music venue and church camps along the way. But precisely because there are few distractions means less traffic and a better sports ride. I've never stopped along the way.

Motorcycle Road Additional info

Probably the best Okla road this side of Arkansas!

This road can go one of two ways. The first is the fun way, where you pin it and wear your chicken strips to nubs. Beware of tar snakes in the twisties, and be aware that while headed east, most of the twisties are downhill. The second way, and the most common, is that you get trapped behind some cager. This is bad, as with most twisty roads, you will find cages crossing the double yellow CONSTANTLY. Scenery is nice as you go between forest and plain(ish) vistas. Pavement is in good shape, but I still had to endure construction in an area that just a week before, I was perfectly content with the pavement quality.
