Written Directions

Ride southwest out of Grand Rapids via Butterworth ave. Then take a right on to Route 11 (Wilson Ave Southwest). Then a left on to O'Brien Road, then a right on to Fennessy Road which turns into Luce Street (which you will continue heading west) which turns into Linden and then you need to take a left on to Leonard and take that all the way into the town of Spring Lake, MI.

Scenery

Great views as you drive next to the Grand River for most of this route on less traveled roads.

Drive Enjoyment

Nice, quieter roads with decent curves and dips. Usually very well maintained. Butterworth may have some loose gravel occasionally

Tourism Opportunities

Not much for stops on this ride, but it's only an hour with plenty to do at either end. You pass by a number of parks and recreation areas: Millennial Park, Johnson Park, Deer Creek County Park, and Bass River Recreation Area, Crockery Creek Natural Area and Grand River Open Space. Also, Near Nunica is a replica of stone hedge.https://goo.gl/maps/HtkVn

First part? Road condition is very undulated. Not enjoyable. Get past that, and once you cross the city limit sign for Wyoming and it becomes very enjoyable. Worth the trip…just don’t turn around because of the rough start.
