Written Directions

From Bonner Springs KS, off I-70, going north on Kansas 7 through Leavenworth, and Atchison. Continues north to Rulo, NE.

Scenery

The road starts straight, but turns to curvy, in and out of the hills, and follows the Missouri River.

Drive Enjoyment

The road starts straight to Leavenworth, but after Leavenworth, the road is winding through the hills and valleys. It follows the Missuori River. Past Troy, KS, it drops into the river valley, and is curvy and tree lined the rest of the way to Rulo.

Tourism Opportunities

In Rulo, stop at the Bar and Grill at the Missouri River Bridge for an enjoyable meal of fried catfish. You will not be disapointed, and neither will your wallet. And, in White Cloud, KS, stop at the rest area right next to the river. Also, just west of White Cloud is an Indian Casino.

Great trip, not as curvy or tight as K-5 but still nice to follow the river. & Wild Bills Grill in Rulo was great

A very enjoyable route! Great for a lazy afternoon. Very easy to ride and good road conditions. Plus Leavenworth is a neat town to ride through.
