Written Directions

from Main Avenue take East 32nd to CR 250. Left on 250. Past Trimble Lane. Keep going and going. When you think you HAVE to get on 550 again, at the campground, look twice, CR250 continues north another 3 miles and then takes a 180 degree turn before meeting up with 550 again.

Scenery

Beautiful forested back road to Baker's Bridge where Butch & Sundance ACTUALLY jumped into the river. The movie made it look a LOT higher, lol.

Drive Enjoyment

No potholes, repaved or chip-sealed regularly.

Tourism Opportunities

"Bread" bakery at the corner of CR250 and CR240 is definitely worth stopping or starting at. But never end a sentence on a preposition.

Motorcycle Road Additional info

Lots of cyclists on this route.

Love this road one of my top 5 for sure so far, It was 70 and sunny on 550 and on the other side of the Mts is was snowing lol. the view were amazing the road was covered in rocks and dirt in some areas but if you are taking your time its no issue. Big trucks take this road so watch out. took this memorial week and there was still snow and it snowed in Durango where we stayed. So we headed out west to utah and hit the arches and Canyonlands ect..
