Written Directions

From Kingston Ontario go north on Route 10 (Outer Division Street) to RT42, go west (left) and stop for a break in Westport and one of the great restaurants or at the "Chip Stand" next to the gast station - can't miss the station, it's always busy with bikes. Get back on RT42 and go south on RT12 (Bedford Street)Past Devil/Wolf Lake Roads it becomes RT8 (Westport Road)and go to RT38 (Godfrey Ontario), go left (south) on RT38 back to Kingston, Ontario.

Scenery

Back Roads and Back Woods, great stops along the way for wildlife. Good twists and turns along the way. Bring a camera.

Drive Enjoyment

Mostly a well paved road, the second half after Westport may have a few "rougher" spots and watch for gravel in corners coming from the shoulder of the road.

Tourism Opportunities

Great gas, food and "viewing" stops along the route.

This is a lovely north/south 56 km road winding between Kingston and Westport. Away from the highways, this route works its way through forested land. Westport is one of the most beautiful towns in Ontario. This lovely village has kept its charm and quaint feel for over half a century. Downtown Westport is filled with unique shops and interesting boutiques. There are great restaurants and coffee shops. Minimal gas and amenities en route. Continue 30 km north of Westport to Perth, once voted as the prettiest town in the country.
