Title: Bristol Bluebonnet Bash
State: Texas

Submitted by: Phil

Date Submitted: Mar 08

Motorcycle type: 03 HD XLH 883 Hugger

Estimated Length: 44 Miles

Motorcycle Road Scenery:

During the April-May time each year, this is the best Bluebonnet viewing and picture taking area in all of Texas. It is a very quiet country farm road with plenty of places to stop and take pictures. Take your time and enjoy the country. This is a good cruiser route with plenty of gas stops along the way.

Motorcycle Road Quality:
This road is a very well maintained Farm to Market system with plenty of twists, turns, hills and flat straight-aways.
Motorcycle Roadside Amenities:

This is a very country setting with very small towns. Some eateries in Ferris at the start and about halfway through in Waxahachie. Just a good afternoon Ride to enjoy!

Directions:

Written directions:

You’ll find this great ride in North Texas, 18 Miles South of Downtown Dallas on Interstate 45 (The Houston Interstate). Just start in Ferris, TX. I suggest you start at the Ferris High School as it has a large parking lot and is a favorite meeting place for riders to head out on this motorcycle road.

From there head east on TX Route 660. 660 will start to head southeast and then after you pass through Crisp Bristol it will actually start heading southwest.

Soon after that, it will T into Route 813 where you want to take a right and get on Route 813.

Shortly after you get on Route 813 you'll want to switch to Route 879 heading southwest and take this into Garrett, TX.

In Garrett, stay on Route 897 heading west as it starts to bring you into Waxahachie. Here you want to get on the E. US 287 Bypass as it takes you northeast and up to Route 813.

Take a right on to Route 813 now heading northeast to and through Rockett, TX.

Now take a left on to Route 983 heading northeast and all the way to Ferris, TX, completing a full loop and back to your starting point when you hit Route 660.
