A great southern Mississippi river run … lush woods and the drastically meandering Pearl River off to your side keeping you company the whole way down.

The road has more curves than anything I have seen in the 1500 miles I have put in south of Vicksburg, MS! BUT watch out for bumpy turns and gravel from driveways, it is not a well kept road. Except for some construction midway I stayed at about 55 MPH or higher the entire route and had some fun. I’m glad I stumbled on this lost run!

Run it from either end but make sure to stop at Red Bluff near Columbia, it is Mississippi’s answer to the Grand Canyon, plan on five minutes to see it. You’ll pass through the small Mississippi towns of Robinwood, White Bluff, and Morgantown.

Written directions:
Start in Monticello, MS and simply pick up MS route 587 south which follows the Pearl River all the way to Columbia, MS.
