From
Casper to Riverton the road is pretty straight but great
wide open spaces. As you approach Moran Junction you'll
enter the Shoshoni
National Forest. From Riverton to Jackson you go through
the Wind River Range, Bridger-Teton
Nat'l Forest, Teton Wilderness Area, and Grand
Teton National Forest - wow!!! From Dubois
you start to see the Grand Teton's on your right. This
is some of the best, if not the best, mountain scenery in
all of the US --- Very Scenic! .

Road Quality:
Some
hills and turns but nothing very sharp. The pavement was
very good with some new paving going on (2002).

Roadside Amenities:
Lots
of camping and parks. Places to eat in all of the small
towns. And of course, Grand Teton national park has tons
of camping and other outdoor recreation to offer. Jackson
Hole is also a major tourist draw and will have plenty
of restaurants and shops to keep you and anyone you're
traveling with happy - world class amenities.
From
Casper take
US Hwy 20 west. At Shoshoni take US Hwy 26 south to Riverton.
At Riverton head west on Hwy 26/Route 287 all the way
to Moran Junction. At Moran Junction take US Hwy 191 south
to Jackson, Wyoming.

Old Goat - 2008 Harley-Davidson

Did this ridein late June of 08. Great ride the veiws are one of the best in the country. Stoped along the rode and saw a bull moose about 50 yards away, Then when we were leaving Jackson going by Jackson Hole Ski resort we saw a cow moose and calf with in 20 feet, awsome. Love to go again...
