Motorcycle Road Scenery:

The route varies from wide open country side to canopied tree lined roads. Route includes St. Meinrad Arch Abbey and Hoffman covered bridge and . Hoffman covered bridge is one of the few if not only covered bridge in Southern Indiana. When nearing the end of the Bristow-St. Meinrad road it takes a sharp left that opens up on a hillside with a wide vista of the countryside. Off in the distance you can see the Arch Abbey on the hillside in St. Meinrad. .

Motorcycle Road Quality:

SR-545 is a two lane highway of excellent quality with wide sweeping turns. Hoffman Rd is a narrow county road with numerous tight turns but good road surfaces. The Bristow-St.Meinard Rd. is wider than Hoffman but includes several tight corners.

There is limited food and gas available in Troy and St. Meinard.

The route begins in Troy Indiana in Perry County.

Take SR-545 north approximately 5.8 miles and look for a sign for historic bridge. Exit right on Hoffman Rd.

Follow Hoffman road for 3 miles where you will find the Hoffman Covered Bridge on the left.

On leaving the bridge, turn left and follow Hoffman Rd North (it bears sharply right after the bridge so avoid taking CR-29 by mistake) and follow it to Bristow Indiana.

Turn left in Bristow and then left again on Bristow-St.Meinrad Road. (CR152/154) and follow it to St. Meinrad. .
