Written Directions

Stillwell, Ok is the east end, intersection with Hwy 82 at Lake Tenkiller is the west end. At the west end, you can go north to Tahlequah or south along the eastern side of Lake Tenkiller.

Scenery

Winding curves through the Cookson Hills interspersed by stretches through valleys where you can open it up a bit. Vistas are constantly changing. This is a great 18 mile route & connects easily to other great motorcycle roads in the area!

Drive Enjoyment

Well maintained two lane black top. Wide variety of curves, most with good sight lines. Surprisingly light traffic.

Tourism Opportunities

The only 'amenities' are at either end. There are cafes, motels & fast food in Stillwell. On the Tenkiller end, Cherokee Landing State Park is just across the bridge over the Illinois River. The larger town of Tahlequah is just 11 miles north.

Motorcycle Road Additional info

On the west end, you can go 11 miles north to connect to two other motorcycle segments described on this website, or go southwest on Hwy 100 for another 20 miles of great riding.

There's really not too much to say about this ride. The turns are nice sweepers, and the pavement is great. There's nothing technical about this ride really, but the scenery is nice, making this a very fun ride.
