Written Directions

Start in Helena Montana drive east on Hwy 12 toward Townsend Mt. Once there turn Left at the 4 way stop on Main Street and drive through town. O the far side of town at the base of the hill turn left again on Hwy 284. This will bring you on the east side of Canyon Ferry Lake. Continue around the lake and over the dam. the road will guide back to Spokane Creek Road. You will tie back in with US 12 turn right and ride back into Helena.

Scenery  

you will be riding along the lake for over half of the trip and will have plenty of chances to see different birds and wildlife along the way. You will ride everything from flat to rolling hills and sweeping corners.

Road Quality  

the main road is in good shape the back road is narrow in spots and has blind spots and tight corners.

Roadside Amenities  

there are plenty of places to stop for a quick bite or just relax and enjoy a nice meal with a beverage of your choice.
