Motorcycle Road Length: 50 Miles
Written Directions
Start in Killeen, TX (which is just south of Ft. Hood). Take Rt 195 south from Killeen. Turn right at 2670 and follow until it dead ends at 2657. Turn right and then drive about 2 miles and you will turn left at 963(Oakalla). Take 963 through Watson and follow all the way to Burnet. Looking at the map, you will see numerous country roads that branch off this main route that are equally as fun. Enjoy!
Scenery

The views are beautiful, showcasing the many different aspects of the hill country. There are numerous bridges and places to stop and enjoy the view if you so choose.
Road Quality

There are numerous twisty corners mixed with sweeping fast corners that make this route great to ride. The quality of road changes as you ride on FM2670 past Maxwell, becoming smaller, and with a few small potholes, but doesn't last for long. Once you get to 2657, things improve and the surface becomes nice and smooth all the way to Burnet. Expect a good mix in corner types, with the majority being smooth. There are also nice transitions between corners that will make you smile every time
Roadside Amenities

The route begins on 195/FM2670, so Killeen and Florence are close to gas/eat up before the ride. There are a few small rural towns, but they don't offer very much. The ride ends in Burnet, and there are plenty of places to shop or eat. Gas is plentiful also, just mind that the prices can be somewhat higher than expected.

| Comment: For a longer ride, continue from Burnet to Marble falls. Take the 1431 towards Cedar Park. 1431 is curvy and beautiful. In Cedar Park take the 183 north to the 38 east and back on 195 towards Killeen. AWESOME ride. | ||

| Comment: Tried this a few months ago, the bridge on 963 was out so we had to detour, but other than that it was great. 2670 is an awesome road, just be careful of oncoming traffic. | ||

| Comment: A great quick road to scrub tires! No issues with the "Blue" and no cars pulled in front of me. Makes for a good day in Central TX. | ||
