Written Directions

From Claude TX head south along TX 70. Turn right when you reach TX 256/70 junction. Head west along 256 to Silverton on TX 86. Outside of Silverton is the 207 junction. Turn and head north on TX 207. Continue heading north on 207 to Claude TX.

Scenery

This loop takes you in and out of the Paloduro Canyon in the Texas panhandle. This is a great road for seeing canyon formations and desert scenery.

Most of the trip is straights and sweeping turns with some harder twisties mixed in at the canyon areas

Comment: This is about the best ride in the Panhandle. The best time to ride it is in the spring of fall. Spring is better. be aware that the weather here can change in the blink of an eye. Take plenty of water to ride to the bottom of Palo Duro Canyon. Enjoy!
