Written Directions

Begin in Tullahoma, TN, pick up Highway 269 going northwest out of town. This will take you through the whistle stop towns of Normandy, Wartrace, Bell Buckle, and the end point of Christiana, TN.

Scenery

Most of this ride is through the small towns and rolling hills of Tenn. Nice open scenery, but the main attraction would be the quaint small towns. Watrace TN (left and right).

Road Quality

TN route 269 is a bit more narrow than the US routes, but little to no traffic and good visibility make this a nice open country ride.

Roadside Amenities

The main attraction along this ride is the whistle stop towns, which of course had their heyday in the day of the railroads (remember Fried Green Tomatoes?). These little towns now are tourists attractions for antiques, local cafes, and railroad depots.

I love Hwy 269. This route has some great twisties and what the tourists would call quaint little towns. The roads are in good shape, the speeds are slow and relaxing, and the scenery is gorgeous. Too bad it's not a longer road, but it pairs well with almost all the country roads in the area. Normandy lake is the best part.
